I spent the day tidying up the van and sorting odd jobs to prepare for another trip out to the alps next week..

Main job was to fit new leather seats from a 2003 Chrysler Voyager - quiet involved as they were completely different mount/angles/height/size. So had to chop up the old floor brackets from the Transit crew seats, and cut down the underframe of the new seats and weld modified brackets in place. Did quite a bit of the prep yesterday though.
Front passenger seat went in with just a slight enlargening of the seat mount holes, even the right height !!
All of them have full recline which I managed to keep working
I'll tackle the drivers seat another time, as the Chrysler one is electric, so lots of hassle to work it all out, and the height will be an issue, as the batteries sit under the drivers seat in the MK7 Transit.

Jobs today accomplished:Fitted new sliding side door handle where old old snapped off
Glued a bit of trim carpet to couple of bare areas inside
Refitted the custom rear 12v lighter/cup holder
Generally just gave the inside a good clean and hoover too.

I even managed to pop out to Screwfix to pick up some more much needed angle grinding discs in Camaro as the sun was out. made a bit of a drive and went the long way round, but got stuck in traffic..

Weather not too bad here so would be a good day for a blast in the M*st*ng but instead Nigel (Evilzee) and I spent the best part of the day fitting the headliner in the '68 Charger I'm building.
Man, gotta love the stupid, illogical, unreasonably awkward way Chrysler do things. Not.
Could not have done it without Nigel so big ol' Thanks for sorting it.
I will get out in my car one day......
Cheers, Martin

Not a problem at all Mart, that's what mates are for  . thankfully it did turn out well, but Jeez are Chryslers hard to work on, nowhere near as simple a Camaro or Mustang

cheers...Nige

Finally was decent enough weather to work in the garage (no heat in there, no propane heater etc). Worked on the front end alignment and decided to make some extra bracing. The rad support is triangulated by bolting into the fender but i thought i'd brace it with 3mm tubing straight to the chasis rail. This should hopefully reduce the stress put through the fender and keep the position fixed that way. One side is done and just needs a bit more attention to get the gaps correct. Otherside is spot on regarding the gaps, just needs the tubular bracing made up.

What's the story with the charger Martin? You've kept that project quiet ;)
