I suspect the warmer weather means most of you are out and about today. Rushing to finish those small jobs that means you can get an MOT and start putting some miles on the engine.

I'm off to a Camaro meeting tomorrow night, not far from where I live. I advertised my Firebird and Camaro in order to pay for the day van. Whichever is sold first would mean I "might" be allowed to keep the other. I was hoping the Firebird would go first but now 2 people are interested in the Camaro.

One of the chaps wants to go to this Camaro meeting so that other owners can take a look at the car for him. I'm ok with that and it'll give me a chance to advertise it to other fans of the car if he decides not to buy it.

My heart wants them both to turn it down and then a buyer found for the Firebird but my wallet wants filling desperately so we'll just have to see how it goes.

I think if I save up for a while I'll aim for a 1st gen Camaro in the future. However, the Gran Torino that's on eBay at the moment has also tempted me - I don't know what to do :?

Enjoy your weekend everyone ! :P

   yeah, i've been busy doing my hood, but whereas I normally look in a few times to see what's happening or to post something, I haven't been able to as my computers up the creek & isn't working, so I've just "borrowed " one to get my "fix". Looks like it isn't gonna be fixed 'til next week Aaaaargh!!!! :lol:so it'll take a while before normal service can be resumed

So if you sell the Camaro does that mean we're not going to see much of you?? If you really want a 1st gen, then it's best to wait & save for it. A friend of mine sold his Dukes of Hazzard Charger as he wanted a Camaro, but bought something else (beach buggy) as it was reasonably priced, now he's regretting it & getting the hots for another Camaro. He's just wasting money for the sake of it  Cheers....nige

still haven't got my computer back aaaargh!! I've got loads of stuff on there that I need, plus stuff to post up on here.
I have been busy with the car though. The hoods coming along well & I'm now prepping the gas tank prior to painting it, ready to go in. My mates run all new brake pipes through, he's also got the brakes working & fitted a proportioning valve in line, the engines almost ready to be painted & dropped in, the trans has checked out ok, so we're getting there slowly.

What have you lot been up to lately?? Cheers.Nige

Did I show you my new van ?

It's bloomin' brilliant. I can let the missus go shopping on her own and I can watch DVDs or TV with the boys in the back of the van while we wait for her.

Nearly bought that 4th gen. Camaro in Newcastle today. Wasn't sure if it was a good one or not so I left it and lost out by a nifty fifty in the dying seconds.

I'm sure I'll have another soon. Firebird may have to make way for it though. He needs new rear wheel bearings. Didn't realise that the bearings sit directly on the drive shaft so I might have to replace both parts !! Need to buy a slide hammer first before attempting that one.

Photos taken in Kirchheim bei Muenchen last week. It's so much nicer here than Walthamstow.
