Thanks Rocky,

I made it to a few of Grants meets before the transformation.

Just taking longer than I envisaged

one of the things that struck me about this build is the really nice looking sort of daisy mags you originally had on as standard!

what size are they and PCD etc please?

might have to have them off you for Gen1??

Thanks Onemanrace & maudyZ28 for your comments

For Drag Wheels & Tyres Have a chat with Hauser Racing & Andy Robinson Racecars.

You could also import them direct from Summit Racing or Jegs in the States.

Theres plenty to choose from rim wise Theres Weld Wheels, Centreline, ARE's etc just depends on how much you wanna spend.

As for tyres there's Mickey Thompson, Hoosier, BFGoodrich & Goodyear. They all make a drag tyre.

I've now gone for 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson drag radials on the rear

Cheers

another question....where is the cage from? I need a roll bar when I get into the 11's and have seen ones similar to yours in the states but not over here..... :D

furthermore, are you cutting off the original front end metal as youve run tube over the suspension struts or are you leaving it all as is ?

Hi Maudy Z28,

The roll cage was done by Hauser Racing and I should be able to get this certified to 8.50 sec 1/4 mile times not that I will run those kind of times :-).

CDS tubing was used instead of Chromoly.

As for the front end I'm running a BMR front end kit with fabricated K member Strange Brakes, QA1 coilovers & Flaming River manual steering rack.

I had the front tubes done to tie in the front chassis as I may have to cut some of the strut tower when fitting the procharger.

The car is really solid with no flexing at all. It even sounds different when you close doors.
