sweet and not far off to be honest it appears?

one question regarding your dash was the car originally a 6 dial dash or have you now made it so?

also borrowed a dizzy cap of a guy on R&S to test if my issues were ignition based as he had thought and.... it fires and runs like a dream so might have to hold onto my old gal and get it sorted bit by bit

Still lots to do, just trying to see if everything works really. Want to be in a good position for next summer, and if I can find problems early on then I can get them fixed.

Car was originally a 6 gauge dash. Just chopped the old housing up to hold the new gauges.

hmm so if i was to upgrade my dash i guess id need the full 6 dial loom or make my own to add it to the system  as mine is currently a 2 ish dial dash n the rest are "dicky/warning lights"
as have a set of jag guages for a full 6 dial setup

still need to find a reasonable set of rear lights!!

Its not that difficultt to switch from 2 dial to 6 dial anyway, not much changes.

A lot of the cables are already there, you'd just reconfigure them to different functions. So the oil warning light wire becomes your pressure sensor wire, same with temp wire, volt meter only needs 12v feed to work and fuel gauge is as is anyway.

Aiming to have the EFI wiring finished this week, then just need a few more parts and I can see if the engine starts.... 8-)

Spent every evening this week doing wiring, drilling holes in the firewall and doing more wiring. The ECU and engine wiring are more or less done. Just the alternator and coils to connect up over the weekend, then I can check the ECU is getting the right signals.

Still have to make a bracket for the VR sensor and weld the lambda bung into the exhaust. Might swap my VR sensor cable for something more substantial too, bit of a faff and should have done it before really!

Fuse box on the firewall is just for the EFI system, fuel pump, coils etc. Its switched by a 70A relay direct from the battery.

The cold's slowing me down!

Changed out the VR cable for some mil-spec stuff, should be better suited to the job.

Today I made the bracket for the VR sensor, blanked the kickdown cable hole in the transmission, finished the coil wiring and made the HT leads. Fitted the starter and checked the pinion clearance, all seems good without the need for any shims. Refitted the headers as well, tightening the plugs is a challenge, can't get a plug wrench on many of them.

Thanks Stu!

Tonight I've been mucking around with the exhaust. Needs quite a bit of modification to fit, but it was cheaper to do it with the box of bits over buying the bends individually, by quite a margin....!

is the exhaust mild steel or stainless? would love a zorts like that just have a straight through with cherry bombs one per side in 22 gauge steel from way back when it was a v6 & went to "pipecraft" so is an un painted mild steel but still good even after all these years
