Getting on for nearly 2 years ago I started another project, and its still not finished

Design by me...most of fabrication other than the frame and tank by me too....just because I have nothing better to do, allegedly.

38deg rake, 2" up, 2" out and 4" overs
127" Ultima Black Gem engine (140bhp, 145lbft tq)
Ultima 6 speed LSD tranny
240 rear tyre, 140 front
Twin disc fronts with Wilwood calipers and brakester rear

Some pics from the build up

It's been a long old slog to get it done if I am honest. It's also cost way more than it should have done, I dread to think how much it would have been if I hadn't made as much of it myself.

The paint was done by a mate, and a stunning job it is too. Looks black in dull light, has red candy in in sunlight then takes on a whole dark cherry red in really bright sun.

Also dread to think the hours I have ploughed in as well. Every little thing has to look good as its all on show, and I am more used to playing with cars than bikes. Its been great, will be doing another at some point. Not for a while though

That's a very nice bike. I don't know where you get the energy or time to do two massive projects. You have great skills and both projects are a credit to you. Keep up the great work.

Hi flak monkey,

Thats a lovely job you have done on your bike, like you say everything is on show, guess it will be just as big a nightmare keeping it looking like that.

Cheers.

Russ.

Well it works! Spent the morning faffing around with a few bits and checking over some more things. My mate arrived with the tank shortly after lunch and I got it all fitted up within an hour or so.

Really quick video, just heat cycling the engine at the moment, so didn't get change to take much of one. Ignore the pipes, thay are just on there for the sake of some pipes for now.

Anyway its looking more or less finished now. Put the outer support on the primary today and had a ride around the garden too
