Haven't posted anything in a while. Thought some might be interested in how the build has progressed.

Hmmm..."substantial"...accurate description, I suppose. The Rack & pinion steering is next...most of the parts going into this are straight out of a NASCAR Super Late Model, including Wilwood brake & clutch pedals. Should be installing the motor & trans in a few months. The motor is as "substantial" as the rest of the build...and more expensive.

Should be super rigid and no sub-frame deflection with that bracing.
Good work and pics, keep us posted.
Hope you stayed safe in the recent trouble that was going on near Anaheim.

This week we set the motor (the one pictured is for mock-up only). It's 4-inches further back and about 3-inches lower. We also made preparations to mount the rack and also started mounting the fuel cell. see the attached photos. I'll take more next week.

How do you get the motor moved back much further than stock. There's not alot of space there normally, so I would think the distributor would hit the firewall ??

We cut a hole in the firewall. It will be filled in with new sheet metal once everything is set.
