Hi can anybody tell me whats the going rate for a good pair of 1975 camaro doors? and are other years the same and would fit, looking at mine on the car i have just bought it may be better to fit a replacement pair.Does any body have any for reasonable money? Also the roof has ben cut at some point to fit a sunroof, and then someone has tried to fit a panel and weld a new section in,this looks like it may have dropped a bit, should i cut out previous hole and fit sunroof or repair and maybe fit a vynal roof ? I am going to need a full set of carpets and a pair of seats as well,i will list my wants on wanted section(if there is one)Ken

Sounds like either you buy a parts car or something better!

Carpets are available on ebay and the like in the UK

Hi Ken, there isn't really a "going rate" for something like good doors, it's more a case of finding them & agreeing a price that's acceptable to you really. As to the roof, I'd be inclined to weld in some new steel & repair it, rather than fit a vinyl roof as this would de value the car somewhat. If you look at Ray' (camaro 78) build thread, he disposed of the sunroof & it might show you what's involved to do it. hth

cheers...Nige

Doors from 1970 to 1981 will fit. Sounds like you bought a pile of monkey dung. I'd find a donor car, or cannibalize the one you have and find one without holes in the roof.

You can for the roof:

buy a new roof - cut out the factory welds etc and fit new roof. This is the ideal but the roof will be a few hundred £££
Re-patch the roof - As Nige mentioned this is what i did and i'm happy to share pics and experience with you.
Put sunroof in - I have all the parts you need, you can take em off me for free.

For the doors:

As Dana mentions, 70-81 doors will fit. You can: (Why do you need a door, can you share pics?)

Get a new frame and skin from DB motors / usautoparts - (ebay search camaro door) but his will cost a few hundred £££
Get a used door from db motors - i spoke to them today and they have some, but you will need to metal work them
Just get the skin, from usautoparts / NPD. This will work if the frame is good but the skin is dented - i'm currently dealing with this situation.

Cheers!

Hi thanks for input guys, when i finish my current project (911) i hope to have a bit more time to pull off the doors and see if i can repair them,i have sourced new carpet and a replacement sunroof, but i will keep my eyes out for seats or covers and if a pair of doors come along at the right price i will go with them, hope to get 911 on the road this year,Ken
