Car Details:1968 Camaro Racing Car "Butch"
1968 Camaro Convertible 327"Camilla"
1979 AMC CJ7 Jeep 360V8
1980 BMW E21 Alpina B6 2.8
1991 BMW E30 HartgeH26
1958 as yet unrevealed sportsracer with chevV8
Location:Isle of Man and Inverness
herewith details of the glass fibre bootlid- which fits Gen1 Camaro
Even comes with painted Z/28 stripes white stripes on gloss black
Image
As you can see it really is in perfect condition it has the holes for fitting the rear spoiler as well as being lined on the inside with inset captive bolts to enable it to be fitted to the standard hinges
Image

Reason for selling
I have gone back to steel bootlid- circuit race rules are becoming stricter now and I can't see us going back to glass fibre

The cost of getting large unwieldy stuff from the USA is becoming increasingly expensive as you end up paying VAT on the item and carriage

£250
Payment via paypal etc
Can be delivered next weekend to Rutland

Herewith details of the OEM Steel bootlid- which fits Gen1 Camaros- it has a little scabbing in the corners- but nothing serious (see pictures) and is painted in deep Gloss Black

As you can see it really is in very good condition it has the holes for fitting the rear spoiler and has inset captive bolts to enable it to be fitted to the standard hinges

Reason for selling
When we went back to steel bootlid- we couldn't find the old one- so I shipped one in from NPD IN 2008 which cost over £350 in parts and customs and VAT and shipping etc to get here! Then Bob found the original one in his shed!!
So our inefficiency is your gain!

This applies to all the stuff I am selling
Yes that is Camilla under the cover

For £20 someone can collect a scruffy burgundy headliner-but far more importantly all the frames rails that clip the headliner and ensure it stays there!
Image
This is the sort of thing that would be expensive and annoying to send from US - but is essential if restoring your Camaro
you can always get a new vinyl headliner sent from NPD

I have decided to keep the OEM rear spoiler as we might yet fit it to Camilla!
And the rear OEM rear wing- since it is handy as a spare in case of scrapes on the circuit!
The front wing is shown here and is for sale:
Image

and inside:

This is the front RHS wing complete and is a early Repro part
and is certainly not in A1 condition but might suit someone out there
Painted in gloss black save a fortune in shipping and VAT charges
yours for £80 only
Collection from IOM or Rutland

Jeepers it's like a treasure hunt at your place lol.

Just picked up on a few mentions of customs etc - i was on the understanding that car parts from oversea's for tax exempt cars (pre'73) have the customs duty waived, maybe even the VAT. I wonder if you can still claim these back if you've got the receipts still?

Cheers!

Hi - this is first I have heard of Reduction in customs etc!

When did this happen?
I have paid customs for a while-
indeed Autocar ran an article by Colin Goodwin in current edition from Darcars who had been importing a lot of classic Yank muscle- all of which were subject to Customs etc after sale

The killer is when you pay VAT on item and shipping combined as well as Customs!!

Hi TC,
Do you have the roof brace cross piece? and headliner bows with the plastic clips?
I am really in need of just the cross piece of the roof brace.

Also, i'm really interested in the center console, i just need to paint it black and get the associated bits, it'll fit over a B&M megashifter won't it?

Thanks

Pete
