Dear All
After much deliberation I have decided to let Camilla go to a new home- thing is that I have inherited a house that needs a new roof and windows etc!

Camilla is my numbers matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible- I am only the third owner from new and I have ALL the history of the car since new.

Subject to a complete restoration in 1995 by RPM and subsequent work in 2010 she is in perfect condition.
The suspension is Hotchkiss and Global west, the tyres and battery and exhaust new.
Mileage is 132k from new but all components have been rebuilt since 1968.

Camilla has a 327CID VD fitted with a lovely smooth 390 Holley for good fuel economy and torque on an Edelbrock Torquer manifold, she has a 2 speed powerglide auto transmission (that was rebuilt by the late and great Tony Gransden years ago).

Camilla has starred in many adverts for classic car insurance as well as perhaps most memorably starring with David Beckham in an advert for Adidas Shoes see:

I would love to see her go to another enthusiast who will love and cherish her as much as I have done.

Just took Camilla to b&q for some house stuff on Saturday

and immediately regretted putting her up for sale- honestly she is so well sorted and useable and driveable

So have retracted the advert

just as someone expressed interest!

I shall have to find the £25k for 16 windows and the flat roof repair and 8 radiators & new heating system from somewhere else!!

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
I love a story with a happy ending...good move retracting the ad .
A 1st gen convertible like Camilla is an icon ,and it would be a sad day to have to part with such a piece of Camaro history .
With all this sunshine wish my convertible was on the road instead of awaiting restoration...

That's some very good news, glad that you are holding on to her :) Shame about getting the offer the same day lol. Good to hear that she will be staying with you. Who needs heating anyway, it's summer. Plus the lack of windows will keep a nice breeze going through the house ;)

Well done that man, I regret getting rid of my 67 almost everyday. Think it was one of your
Old cars, Silver with Black stripes. Love that car.
Cheers Rog.
