Hi All,

I have been directed to your forum by Nige "evilzee28". I use the same user name on all forums, so some of you may have seen me elsewhere.

Up until last Thursday when i learnt we had been sold out i was a very active member of Rods'n'Sods and regarded it as home, due to the sell out i feel that all the time and effort that i had put in has been abused and i now find my self homeless. Nige kindly offered me a bed over here for the time being.

My name is Russ and i have been into cars ever since i can remember so the best part of 50 years. My current toys are a 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Bubble Top and a 1937 Ford Model Y Roadster plus a barn full of old cars that i share with my neighbour, none of which are likely to see the road anytime soon.

I love the dragracing scene and used to race myself back in the late 80's early 90's, unfortunately due to the recession back then and a divorce i had to call it a day due to a lack of finances. I still kept my hand in where i could and currently help crew part time for Sid Slattery on his Jag powered slingshot dragster which keeps me involved to a degree but without the costs.

I try to go to as many car shows and drag racing events as i can and i take many photographs along the way. Unfortunately due to the economic climate i think i will have to pick and choose which events/shows i will go to this year, Nostalgia Nats, Hot Rod Drags, Mopar Nats and the Silverstone Classic are all must do's for this year anything else will be subject to finances.

I have just noticed the time and have to be up for work at 06.00 so i will sign off now, hope this will do for a basic introduction.

Cheers.

Russ.

Hi Stu,

 Thanks for the warm welcome.

The format for how your forum works is different to what i am used to so i need to work out how to post up the pics, but you can rest assured i have no shortage of pics.

Can i host pics on the site or do i need to host them on an outside source and link them accross. :?:

Cheers.

Russ.

Hi flak monkey,

Certainly is a bit quiter but that's not such a bad thing, good to see a familiar name.

Here are couple of pics of previous rides.
