Good work  ...

Be interesting to see how removing the leaf works, but it's guesswork how much it'll drop, hopefully enough..

Be very careful with the Herb Adams mod to the front leaf mount. It WILL eventually fail, as it removes too much material from the bracket...unless, of course, you reinforce it. Better bet is a four-link with a track bar and adjustable coil-overs (QA-1 is a good example).

Thanks for the warning Dana!

I was planning on reinforcing the sides where the bolt holes are with some 1mm / 1.2mm steel so it's effectively twice as thick. As for the top side, i was going to have rounded corners, as opposed to cutting a square, as square corners apparently create a weak spot, whereas rounded corners would distribute the forces a bit better. Are those the area's that you mean would fail? Or are there other parts that you would advise reinforcing?

cheers!

Ray

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").
