Hey guys, thanks for all the adivce!

Tim, i didn't try Real Steel which is strange for me as they are usually my first port of call as they're local. But i will be up there for the valvoline and ZDDP, thanks for clearing up my misunderstanding Nige :)

I got the part through from Earls, pic below (if it will allow me to post pics, have ben having trouble over the last couple of days.). They are based in Silverstone and were really helpful and had a really fast turnaround... phoned them Monday afternoon and they custom made the part and was on my doorstep on Thursday morning. Fitted perfectly (the first thing that has done so over the course of the last year  ) Started it and no leaks that i could tell, but then found out that the oil gauge wasn't showing anything, signal tested and the factory wiring has no conitnuity so will need to run a new wire through over the weekend.

Cheers all, will let you know the results!

Ray

I realised i never put an updated on this. So i didn't run a new wire, i continuity tested the factory wiring and it was doing good, even after wiggling the wires about to make sure there were no breaks causing intermittent signal. I moved onto other things with the car and only recently figured out that the issue may be because that unit is designed to ground itself via being plumbed into the block. As it is only connected via hose i believe that there is no ground connection, hence no signal. Once the car is repainted and i open the hood, i'll test it out by attaching a ground wire to the unit and see if that helps.

P.s as i will be starting the car in the next few weeks, after it not having been started in about 10 months - any precautions i should take? Oil and water levels are there, but i'm worried that any oil coating on the engine would have run off by this point and i'm worried about doing some damage. Or am i being silly :)

Cheers!

Ray

Mine sits over the winter doing nothing, hooked to an Optimate.

Started last week with no bother.
