At least it's a TPI....

I'm guessing there's a very good reason for it's ebay re-listing..

You would have to be mad to buy that heap. The engine bay shot says a lot! Is that rust that is almost everywhere. When was the last time that car had a service I wonder :)

Like stu says I bet there is a very good reason it's back on sale.

Forget the SAS, the frontline troops, space explorers, test pilots. You want brave? Drive that back from Glasgow to central UK or down South. That would be terrifying :)

Well the guy that was supposed to already bought it said the vin checked out as a 5.7 but when I enquired about buying it and said it seemed as though its a 5.0 he said it was sold.

Hi Chaps Ive also been watchin this since it 1st appeared on Ebay.and have been seriously tempted but again agree with Rockys angle on distance and my brother saying why would you want two of em! Having seen a few before taking the plunge in 99. I saw some well presented 3rd gen skips! Regards the engine it is actually v.hard to tell the 5.7 from the 5.0ho visually as I think the main difference is the bore,s and higher pressure injectors but would stand corrected. Regards rear disc,s that was an option in 88, which mine does not have, also the 16"mine has were standard for that year then became an option on later models where 15"were standard There,s one deep groove in @spoke on 15" and two spaced apart on the 16"spottable from yards away. All the 5.7,s were autos with a square leather shift knob and I don,t THINK they had A/C mine had the decal delete option. That ones the 1st Ive seen with it on the hood. The present ad refers to an evident previous fettling so was it welded or fudged I think is the main reservation of mine n others. I still car,nt help thinking its still a lot of motor for the money even if its a 5.0ho badged up. Ime of the opinion if one showed up with a trailer or reco. truck and a fistful of cash it would be better than in any bank!Providing one has the time n skills as some on here undoubtedly have! Had it been within 100 or so miles I would have definately gone to make an offer or the asking price if it was ONLY the engine management fault n knackerd hinge pins (must have been over serviced!) I did,nt set out to write a book Lads. I hope my waffle,s helped. SOMEONE please go rescue it Steve

Haha, it's in the town I used to live in.
I imagine if it's been left sat outside there, you should probably take a bag to sweep up the rust when you leave... Coastal town, tons of rain.
And still no engine bay shot to clear up the 305/350 question - bumper says 5.7, RPO says 5.0...

EDIT: Doh. There's an engine bay shot now. Didn't scroll down.
EDIT again: And that engine doesn't look anything like my '88 IROC engine bay... alternator, AC pulley, work light all look wrong. :?
Yea diff to my 88, alternator/A/C comp otherway about ,heater control valve diff place,so hows one tell the diff just by lookin under the hood? I reckon its earlier! Oh yea salty rain at that!

Going just by the pictures it looks like a late 87. Wheels will be standard single groove came on 16" wheels on earlier models. Going by the rpo code its a 5.0 really need the vin code as the logbook could be wrong also.

Yeah but if the centre console is from another car it wont have the correct RPO codes, Better to have the one under the screen to be sure.
Looks like it has centre bolt valve covers so changed in 87
