Hi Rockinfox and thanks for the welcome. Did you not see my response about race numbers? I do not display them on the road, they are covered up by black poly sheet. My race number is 3, but the black covering the number looks like a '1' to some people. Nobody can say what my race number is by looking at the car so I have complied with the MSA demand to make the race numbers completely illegible. Thanks for the concern though!
I still see some people driving away from the track with numbers displayed......

out of interest, what's the legal issue with seeing a race number on the car? Is it some weird law that if you show a race number you are racing on a public road or something? Big fan of the mustang! any vids of it in action?

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

There is no legal issue, that has already been established. The problem is with the MSA, who as I'm sure you know, govern motorsport in the UK and they are afraid that anyone displaying race numbers on the road may bring the sport into disrepute by their actions. Never mind the fact that there are many people running about in cars with fake 'race' numbers on their cars. So, the reasons I have to cover my numbers is that I have been told that if I am seen driving my car with race numbers displayed, I may have future race entries refused and disciplinary action may be taken. Fair enough, I cover 'em up!
Sorry, no good vids but if you search 'evilzee28' on youtube, Nigel has posted a little vid of my car at Mallory Park. Doesn't really look that fast but then that is often the case in racing. You may also notice that my car is quiet compared to the 4 cylinder cars, despite having a straight through exhaust system (NOT cherry-blossom pickers). I have some other vids of my previous racer (69 Fastback) but haven't uploaded them. Thanks for the interest! And the welcome!
