Hi Andy,

I like the look of you car, nice pics   . The body kit is really nice, but now seeing the back, where are your fog lights :?: . From the front and the side it looks like an EU spec but from the back it looks like a US model. Do you know which it is :?: . The wheels are very nice  .The car sits very well, has it been lowered or is it just the effect of the body kit :?:

Thank you! :)
Er, yes... fogs.... There are none! Well, not on the back at least! :?
I don't know if it's EU or US spec, all I know is it was made in Canada then shipped to Japan like so many others, so I suspect that it's a bit of a combo! I see your point though! How odd!
It hasn't been lowered and the wheels are original, so I guess it's just the body kit?! :)
Andy

Yours has the EU spec mirrors (they fold), I don´know if the Jap one has them of not but the rear on the EU should look like mine

You need to have rear fog lights for the MOT so you may need to look into that.

US models don´t have rear fog lights so when they are imported they are usually added.

If you check all the RPO codes on the drivers door you should be able to find out all the infomation about your car from here.

Hope this helps

Yeah the mirrors are EU, but the fog lights bit is very useful. Thank you for this, I will amend! (although the MOT isn't due for another 10months, I know it needs to be done)!

Tbh, it looks better in a way with the fogs in the rear bumper like that!

Thanks, yea I like the back of the EU spec but I do prefer the front of the US models.

You will have to get in touch with the Cam Am club which is based down your way.

I came down to their "Lazy Sunday" show earlier this year, I had the only Camaro there out of a couple of hundred cars and got a Top Ten prize so it was worth the 200 mile each way trip   .

I agree, a good combo to have!

The only Camaro?! What's the matter with people?! :) It's great that you managed such a huge trip to get there though, although I bet the prize didn't cover the petrol! :D

Nice looking car, they certainly turn heads don't they. I get the initial glance when they hear it coming and then the puzzled "what is it" look as I pass :)

Strange behaviour from rear light clusters is almost always an earth problem. Not sure how the clusters are hooked up on these cars but I would check all connectors are seated and not corroded etc. Good luck and enjoy your very cool car

They certainly do. Burbling down city streets is just great fun, as you say, it's the puzzled looks you get! Very amusing!

Ah that's interesting, I'll have a look, thanks. I know there's no corrosion and everything seemed to be in the right place, but I'll give it another look over, following this, I'll be straight back in it and enjoying it! Hopefully, the snow will hold of down here this year! I rely in it daily to get to work! :)

welcome and nice car dude :)

with regards to the spec, PRE 98 cars there were NO EURO spec ones, this was only offered on facelift models as UK dealers supplied the cars.

To me its down as a Jap spec with Jap rear lights. Fold mirrors may have been added after but i'm sure they did it for the jap market? Either way its a nice motor :D

Hi Maudy,

Thanks very much :)

I'm very much still new to this, so the info regarding spec is very interesting. I'm assuming then that the EU specs cars are harder to come across than others, seeing as these are the later models only?

I'm very impressed at the list of mods to yours though! Looks a fine beast! Have you done the work yourself?!

Andy
