also considering changing the lights on my camaro for some "angle eyes" as this would then negate the need for a small side light (ring) and also look cool as well??

but I remember the last time when I had the car on the road, as had to buy new headlights and they had to be fairly specific as needed to be held in with the spacer tabs, so kind of apprehensive to lash out on new headlights that may not fit! ?

Sounds a lot like "the peoples republic of California"...they regulate you to death with the emissions stuff over here. Sounds like your UK folks are far too over-enthusiastic about the lighting equipment. Do they actually make you put fog lights on the back of your cars? I thought those went on the front so you could see where you are going...not where you've been!

The rear fog lights are like Brake lights when they are swithed on. They are to help stop idiots running in the back of you in the fog.

California emission laws are so over done, quite ironic as cali is pretty much the home of customisation!

ye so a rear fog light is a legal requirement for cars after a certain year, '80 something. I only found that out after i did the wiring on the '79 so i'll go ahead and install, save a potential argument with the MOT guy. also where i live can can get foggy (drive in between fields half the time) so it can get build up, save someone getting too close - not likely in the chevy

Front fogs are optional, but massively help, so it's strange how in foggy England they are not required up front
