Hi,
In june I will live in London, not in the city but in the surburb.
I own a german camaro since 2006. The camaro has the german plates and I'm french  .
Can you tell me what I have to do to drive my car in UK with legal plates?
Is it hard to import and obtain UK plates for a german car?
The car is in very good (excellent) shape.
I don't know what to do...
If it's hard, I'll sell it in France and I'll try to find a 84 Z28 HO.
I have heard about MOT, what is it?
Who can explain me how to import my car?

Thanks

I think most of the information is available at
:http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Bu ... /index.htm

I think if the car is more than 10 years old, it is now a bit more paperwork, and you will likely need an IVA test, but the fact it is registered in Germany and you are French should not be a problem..

I've noticed that a lot of Polish and other EU nationals seem to keep their plates from their country of origin and don't seem in any hurry to change to UK plates...
Could be a way out of parking fines and speed cameras

I think the car has to leave the country every 6 months for you can get away with this... not sure for how long though, and if there's any other conditions..

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the links...
But I realize that my english is not so good as expected
It's litlle bit hard for me to understand exactly what I have to do for my camaro.
Who can take the time to explain me (in details) what I have to do for my camaro.
What sort of mods does my camaro need?
Which file do I have to download and complete?
Which paper do I need?

Thanks for your help.

My camaro is an 1992 RS with a german title, more than 10 years old.

Maybe it will help others guys
