Car Details:1988 IROC-Z, custom interior from the 90s.
It rained this afternoon, and poor old Isabelle was sat out in it.
Bear in mind she's my daily driver, I don't have the luxury of leaving her tucked up at home in the garage on wet days.
Anyway, got in to go home and found the wipers weren't paying much attention to what I was telling them.
My car has apparently got the 2 speed motor but a stalk that has the variable speed option... not sure what's gone on there.
The build sheet lists the CD4 option - INTERMIT WDSH WPR.
So maybe she should be doing the variable speed thing.

Any ideas?

Anyway the actual fault appears to be that I can't prompt them to give a quick sweep, they won't do anything on the first click, but on the second click round they'll come on for about 5-6 sweeps then sit on the bottom of the windscreen moving about half an inch up and down.
To get a sweep again, I need to move the switch back to the 1st position and use the wash. Then again, I get a few sweeps and they die.

Any ideas on this?

Possibly the switch has died?
I really need to get this sorted as we're heading into the winter...

Right, suspicion is the switch might have gone.
So I've got a new one from Rock Auto.
Hopefully having a fiddle before the New Year comes in.

Still haven't gotten around to fixing this.
After the Christmas spend fest, it's going to have to wait until after payday - I'm lacking the tools to start removing steering wheels and disassembling steering columns, and there looks to be a few spring loaded plastic bits waiting to eject themselves all over the garage floor too!
