my 94 z28 has been pluged into a scanner after the SES comes on when the car warms up. The fault was found to be right hand oxygen sensor. I got the car back home and had a look. The sensor has 3 wires ( purple black and white(ish) the white wire has come adrift. Having checked the Haynes manual the sensor should be 4 wires. Anybody got any ideas? I have been quoted £100 for a sensor from Usautomotive in Bedford. In the past I have replaced lambda sensors with universal types which always perform well as long as the wires soldered well
regards

is there any way you can solder the wire back, or has it completly come out of the sensor?

Im not sure about the 4 vs 3 wires but it seems strange that its suppost to have 4??

I usually ship my parts from america, usually cheaper so have a gander on hawks3rdgens or something, of google search. Im sure you'll get one cheaper

it seems to have come out all together. i had a quick look before it got to dark.It appears to have a bit of solder on the end of the loose wire so it may have been soldered to the body of the sensor. i will have a look at the left hand sensor hopefully they are the same, so I can figure out where the white wire cam from. There is so little room under the bonnet!!!!!
