Steven,
Headlamps on vehicles that are left hand drive and are driven on the right hand side of the road have
right dipped lamps. this is for when you use low beams the low beams dip down and to the right to minimize light when approaching oncoming traffic at night using low beams.
High beams are straight ahead and higher up so you have a brightly lit up situation in front at night.
Want to check your car ? go against a wall and go from high to low beam. high beam is just plain bright! low beams should go down and to the "LEFT" ! this situation is correct for the uk. as low beams
need to dip away from oncoming traffic. Now take your right hooker that comes factory with left dip lights and go against the wall and it will become obvious how it dips.
I belive this is what brian is talking about "UPDATING "
My question is the older days it was either a round or square lamp, nowadays its these exotic moulded
headlamp capsules are they manufactered in left and right dip ???
any 4th gens out there know the answer ????
cheers!
Dave
