If the axle's still on the car, jack the rear of the car up, chock the front wheels so's it doesn't roll & put the trans in neutral. Turn the rear wheel until the UJ on the front of the diff is pointing down (it doesn't really matter where it's pointing, so long as you can recognise it's exact position). Turn the wheel through one complete revolution & as you turn it count the number of times the UJ returns to it's starting point. If it turns 3 1/4 times then it's a 3.25-1 ration rear, 3 1/2 times it's a 3.50-1 etc etc. It would probably be either a 2.75-1 or a lowish 3.08-1 or 3.25-1 hth, cheers......Nige _________________ Too much power...not enough hands!!
