 Post subject: gear box issues still

just got my new gear box in, it works ok, changes all gears as it should, but 1st gear is major juddery have to pull away slow, but if u put in overdrive its fine, appart from in overdrive it does not want to shift to 4th, box is fine appart from the first gear issue, could the band need tightening?
