Any ideas as to what can be going on with the below?
When i turn the key to acc/ run, everything lights up, volts gauge shows correct voltage etc. When i turn the key to start, you can hear a click at the starter but everything dies out, all of the dash cuts out. Then when you take the key out and put it back and turn it, nothing happens. Not even the dash lights come on this time, volt gauge doesn't work either.
You have to disconnect the battery for a few seconds, reattach it and then then the dash lights work again as normal, and when you turn the key to start, you hear a click again and everything dies out. And you just repeat the loop over and over. Any ideas?
I thought at first it was the starter motor and it was drawing too many amps or something, so i switched it out to a starter motor that i knew was working 100% and started a car each time with no problems. The battery is only a few months old and is over spec... 750cca. Really stuck on this one
Cheers!
