Hi all, Does anyone know how to disassemble the drivers side wing mirror? I've gone so far as removing the stand from the actual bullet shape housing of the mirror, but what is stopping me from removing the mirror glass from the housing is that there is another screw holding the mirror housing in place - It's on the top, behind the mirror and i can't seem to manouver the mirror out of the way enough to get a screwdriver to it. I can kind of get the screwdriver to the screw at angle but i know it will just chew it. Hope that made sense Thanks in advance! Ray |

The 2 bolts in the bottom should remove the mount and the glass should come out too, as the bracket for the pivot is held in with the same 2 screws.... |

Thanks for the help guys. The part i was struggling with was once you removed the bottom bolts, the mirror was still held in by a screw at the top, behind the mirror glass. Was really tricky to get to and you couldn't get the screwdriver to site in line. I managed to put enough pressure on it in the end to get the screwdriver almost lined u and managed to free it. Annoyingly, the cable that connects the glass adjustment to the door panel, is too wide to be pulled through the mirror housing So i will have to do some intricate masking. At least i can get to the inner side of the housing now, filled with crud etc so good to get it cleaned out and make it possible to lay paint in that area. |
