So, I've just fitted a new tensioner pulley (an ACDelco 38006), and I'd just like your opinion on where the belt's sitting on it.
Is it sat too far to the rear of the pulley?
The pulley's seated as far back as possible.
Should I be worried?
Cheers all :)

Hi onemanrace
Just found this post i cant 100% be sure if the left side of the belt is in full contact with the pulley if its not and the whitish band is because its hanging off the inside of the pulley then the belt wont last very long at all :(
But if the belt is all in contact with the pulley should be ok in a perfect world it be nice to have 2/3mm of pulley showing either side of the belt

Hope this helps
Stu

Cheers Stu

I'll ask my garage if they've a press or something that they could move that bearing forward with.
The old pulley's a better design in my opinion, with the lip on the edges.
