So, new (to me) set of manifolds going on the car.
Been asked if I want to bin the AIR system.

Any thoughts?
I'm minded to keep it, just for simplicity.

Anyone done it? Pros/Cons?

I binned the AIR system on mine when I fitted headers.

Car runs strong without issues but I should add I got a performance chip burned for the car at the same time. I told the chip guys I was taking the AIR and EGR off so I imagine they burned the chip accordingly so I don't have the check engine light coming up all the time.

So, I'm leaning towards keeping them for simplicity - it's what the cars used to having.
Maybe one day I'll stick a set of headers on - I'd also like a set of 1.6 full roller rockers, new cam and uprated rear gears and if I was to go down that route, it seems daft not to burn a chip for her to take the full advantage of those mods.

Cheers for sort of confirming what I was thinking. :)
