Ive a 67 and as usual, im on here begging for info.
I need to get the black facia off the dash centre panel to get it out, now I can feel the screws that secure the panel in but they're under the black facia and i just can't figure out how to get it off to get to the screws behind it.
The aftermarket radio is secured in from the back of the balck facia and ive a problem with it and need to get it out. Its fitted under the heater controls.
Anyone know how it's done withot trashing it please?

Thanks.
Russ.

Thats the boy, how does it come out? Just to the right of the middle hole with the curved top under the black panel theres a screw head, how do you get to them?

IF I remember correctly, someone had fixed that panel with 4 self tappers, much to my disgust! and the rest of it looked like it had some sort of glue (long since perished). So removing it was easy enough. I'm at work, so can't check, I have the panel at home. If I find anything obvious, then I will post again.

Thanks v much, got me flumuxed that (nothing unusual there) Ive found the three screws in the bottom where it curves down and under past the ash tray. The rest seem to be under the black cover.
Cheers for the help Mark.

Hi Russ,

after removing the screws at the lower edge, you need to move the panel away from the dash, starting at the bottom, then lift it up.
The panel is clipped into a retainer at the top. I have scanned the relevant page out of my factory assembly instruction manual but cant figure out how to attach it here.
Hope this helps,

Kurt
