Yes the battery is in the original position.
Fully charged the battery and multimeter read 13.2 volts, tested it every day and after 5 days dropped to 12.62 volts.

Only thing I can add at this stage is that the immobiliser and alarm set up on the 4th gen does use the battery a lot. Mine lives on an Optimate when not in regular use. The handbook does say something about the battery going down over two weeks if left with the alarm / immobiliser on.

My Blazer's battery went flat over about 3 - 4 weeks and needed a booster to start.

Too be honest i dont think mine has an immobiliser or alarm. Unless it works as soon as the key is removed. I dont have a fob to arm it.

Hi
Your manual will tell you if you have an immobiliser however, if it doesn't mention it you can check in two ways. First you can check your key - if the ignition key has a diode in the blade, then you probably have a PassKey immobiliser. This was seperate from the "blip" operated alarm system. You can also check on Camarosource website where they have a wide range of sales brochures copied onto the site, where you can get a full spec of options for your vehicle.

At least thats what I understand about the system.

Mine has PassKey and alarm so it is kept on an Optimate when I know it isn't going to be unused for a couple of weeks. I had a Chevy Blazer before and that flattened it's battery when left uncharged over 2-3 weeks. It needed a booster battery to get going.

Good Luck

Yeah my key has the diode in, but looks like no alarm fitted.
