I'm looking to replace my 3rd gen tan seats with some newer black leather ones but there are so many on the market and I don't know what seats will fit and what to avoid.Any help would be much appreciated. Also wanting to change the tan plastics with black if anyone knows where I can get them.

Hey Marc,

If you want originals, go to somewhere like NPD (national parts depot), classic industries, etc they can do you new seats. Or are you going for aftermarkets sporty style ones? like corbeau or recaro?

In regards to tan to black, grab some dye rattle cans.... wash and degrease the surfaces (mask off anything you dont wana turn black) and spary paint it. Technically you're not spray painting it as the spray has a dye so the black won't flake, it will turn it black. think i made my point :)

MUCH cheaper than replacing and if you buy aftermarket and not OEM, fit may not be right and you may introduce squeaks and ill fitting areas, though may be wrong. This stuff can be used on leather, even carpets. Carpets you have to brush one way, spray, brush another way, spray etc.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,

Ray

Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").
