Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.

Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
The fitting in my pic., left side has a flare in it that matches your pump internal flare.

What´s your next move ?

I still reckon you should call Summit.

Sorry i missed this post:
Quote:
Why an electric pump and mechanical, and how much rubber line are running in total ?
Going to remove the electric pump, it's way too loud and drones the interior, even with loads of rubber isolators. Plus i don't know how old it is but i do know it was mounted above the height of the fuel tank, which isn't good. Not much rubber in the system, it's all stock routing up until the engine bay. The future set up would have stock routing into the mechanical pump, then it's just the bit after the pump that would be rubber instead of hardline.

Apparently this thread says 5/8 fitting (near the bottom of the page) : http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smfor ... ic=18418.0

http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=272279

Found this thread just now, guy appears to have the same question: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/18-engi ... lines.html

Apparently it could be 5/8-18 thread, inverted flare (so likely not npt, nptf etc.which is a topic of conversation in that link). If it does turn out to be 5/8-18 then this should work: http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/e ... cation=int

There's also this hardline from Summit, that mentions 5/8-18 fitting. Application says Chevy. Different ones come up when i enter my car details, but none of those mention the size, of course! I wouldn't mind hard line, but doubt it will fit with a different carb and intake to stock. http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/r ... del/camaro

Why not go to AN fittings and braided line, pump to carb ?

That's a possibility too, never really understood AN, is it just a different thread size or something? I know it stands for ArmyNavy but that's the extent of my knowledge on it :/

It was first used during the second world war, I love it, beats bending hard line.
The braided line is a bugger to cut, some chop it, I use a fine hacksaw with the line held tight in a vise. One of the first add ons I did to the Camaro.
You´d need a kit.....http://www.summitracing.com/dom/search/ ... cation=dom

I'm a fan of AN too, but it's not the cheapest option.
