Nice pictures. I'll be visiting Santa Pod this year and maybe run the car but not too sure about getting better times because of my suspension set up. I also plan to do some Auto X/Road Racing in Snetterton. |

yep definity, would have run the season last year but couldnt due to being here in spain but im back in a week. it ran 13.6 -13.8 at york with only the exhaust, then 13.4 with slp lid, and now 13.2X with a k&n panel filter in and the suspension mods (on 18" alloys with 255/35 R18 tires at 32 psi ). I run in the superstocks at york, its good fun, plus at york i usually run better times on streat wheels for some reason than pod, maybe because of sticky track?? There is defo 12s in it, i have an LS6 intake coming shortly which have a bigger volume than my LS1 intake (dyno tested 10-15 hp), and i also plan on getting the EFi-live tuning sortware to made a few changes as the stock maps are super rich. Future mods are re-built gear box (ill ship a kit from US and build it myself) with 3200 stall, possible 3.42 or 3.73 gears in the rear, currently have 2.73 'highway' gears. Custom true dual exhaust and SS headers (my dads a fabricator) with de-cat, cam and heads (ill ship from US and fit, or get some ls6 heads here and have a crack at porting). Hopefully all within this year, but we'll see. Hoping for 11s after everything |

Hi mate Thanks for your reply over on ls1tech regarding the bmw alloys, sorry i havent been able to reply until now. Ive been reading some horror stories about bolt bending, nuts untightening by themselves, wobbly wheels etc from fitting bmw wheels to the Z28. Is there any truth in these based on your experiences? My 18" parallels have arrived, just waiting on the hubcentric rings from the us so i can fit them. Did you have to do any "massaging" to hub, wheel or nut or change any component for them to fit safely? Last thing I want is a wheel falling off during spirited driving... I also got the steering wheel boss you recommended and am going to try to fit the new wheel tomorrow. Unsure on the airbag light though, may just remove the bulb... Top car mate, ill be sure to post pics of mine when done. Cheers again. John |

hi dude, nice to here from you thanks for compliments on car, actually looks a bit diff now with soe subtle mods this was post from jan2010 :O nope i've not had any issues with the wheels, presuming your wheels are genuine i used the 70.3 to 72.6 rings I think, but you might have to measure. as i mentioned i ran without them for a year including racing just make sure you cross bolt and centralize the wheel when you tighten the nuts up |

Fella Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I got the same rings and they are genuine bmw parallels off a 7 series. Post some more pics of your car when you get a chance, love the way it sits on the 18s and how the colours match. Toying with the idea of stripes on mine but one step at a time. Think I'm going to need the eibach kit too, can imagine it is going to look like it is on stilts without! Thanks again. John |
