Hi, this is my second attempt to post this I've just got a 97 Z28 F1 and have a few questions... The auto box has P N D D 2. The first drive has a box around it. Whats the difference? When idling the engine has a tendency to hunt or rev itself. Any ideas? When dropping into D or R the car jerks somewhat! Oh and any ideas what the SBR button is for? I hope some of you guys can help me out, I'll post some pictures soon. CHRIS |

I notice you don't appear to have a 1st gear, could the SBR button be something to do with starting in 2nd gear? I have a SGS button which is for Second Gear Start in mine. Regards DS |

The hunting sounds like a MAS or MAF sensor to me. Get it to Autopontiac and he'll diagnose it for you. Rich |

I had a 96 Z and it did the surging idle when the opticrap I mean optispark went out. (which is common for 93-97 LT1's) SBR? Traction control? |
