I want a stainless steel cat-back exhaust to replace my rusted system. With cost in mind, any advice would be most welcome. |

Have you had any luck Barry? I think that a custom exhaust type place would be up for the challenge? |

mine has a stainless steel powerflow system, twin resonators and you've heard it enough times ,doesnt have the ls lump like yours though, custom work, I enquired about a dect and exhaust custom made in stainless 2.75" for my typhoon and it was coming in about £750 ish as a ball park, get your relatives to get one for you over there and ship it as a warranty replacement ? |

Happy with the result. £650 (cash). From downstream of the cats, back box, twin tailpipes, all stainless. Volume is about the same as before despite the back box being smaller, but apparently it may get a little louder as it 'wears in'. Feel free to comment on that last bit. They had done 4th gens before, but never in stainless, so all custom made. The non-stainless are more 'off the shelf'. It took around 4 hours. I would recommend them. |

Glad it's sorted! Should have gone louder though |

The problem is that I didn't know how it sounded until it was all finished and I fired it up for the first time. I was hesitant to ask for 'loud' ahead of time, in case I ended up with a drone that drove me nuts on a motorway run. And anyhow, a nice V8 burble is OK with me, I'm not sure that a stock 4th gen should sound like a dragstrip escapee. |
