I think it's seized as its got poor efficiency and the handbrake is not holding. Yeah the tyres have been an issue for awhile hence my question re more popular size that's more availible in the part worn world as I can't afford all that in 10 days for the re mot

I'd replace callipers as a pair, new or refurbished not second hand.

If the car was my sole source of transport I'd agree but as a summer weekend car too much ££££££££££'s to justify that expense hence the second hand parts search

Caliper rebuild kits are relatively cheap if you wanna go down that road. ..

You could play with tyre sizes on some of the online calculators and maybe go up or down a size in width /ratio.. (255 -45-16)

Go look on RockAuto, you won´t get them cheaper, all remanufactured.
I can´t link the exact page but look it up for yourself.

http://www.rockauto.com/

Between 21 Euros and 76 and there are many to choose from.

Maybe enquire as to 3rd gen calipers fitting on? Rocky has plenty of 3rd gens for breaking , I guess he would know if they are comparable as well?

Rock auto are indeed very cheap but living in the UK isnt, I ordered two £5 UJ's yesterday which turned into £30 by the time her majesty had her minions rape me for tax and import duty on top of shipping costs
