In the 95 i'll think... you'll have the Auburn LSD. These are a cone style LSD, where springs in the housing help to push the cones into the housing in situations of high torque (might not be 100% how it all works and when but you get the idea). In this case you will need some modifier. I would use as GM advise. The modifier actually makes the LSD slip. If you dont include it , the diff will lock out under general driving quite a bit and may chatter..plus it will wear out sooner. I wore mine in one season of drag and occasional drifting
as I didnt run modifier for about 6 months and used crap oil :S
