Best of luck Luke.

I`d sell mine as I`m not too struck on them . Great wheels and tyres (17x9) but there`s a huge brake upgrade on the front of mine and I have no idea what backspacing and offset I`d need to clear them. . 13 inch rotors and different calipers. The guy I bought it off says they were custom made (the wheels) which I know that Team Dynamics do but I`m not sure if they really are or just an off the shelf set. If I knew the offset I could look seriously. The backside is usually stamped and all it says where the offset should be is e+. This uncertainty coupled with the massive amount of conflicting info on the net regarding what fits and what doesn`t means I still haven`t changed. If I had a wheel to try then I could do it but I live in the sticks and buying a set of wheels that won`t/don`t fit isn`t a good idea.

I`ve been watching ebay like hell for a set of 17s or 18s that suit. If I buy a set then I`ll give you first shout. Pm me or ring me for any more info.

hi brian,

thanks for the offer....i actually run them to try see what they could offer.....lkeft all details...no call back

Anyway, as it happens I managed t get some corvette ZR1 wheels (dunno if reps or genuine a friend went to pic them up) so they are 17x9.5 and just right for my tyres

With regards to your wheels and brakes I still neeed pics of your setup to figure it out. Are your discs 330 mm diameter?

Some 17 inch alloys will fit depending on how they are, ones like yours now will do. MIne american racing rebels are 18 inch deep dish and howe they are cast means a 17 wouldn't fit over my corvette brake conversion.
Depending on your wheel width you can run a range of ET's - 9 inch wide and an ET +26 will leave wheels pretty much flush with wheel arch at the front and a bit inboard on the rear. A wider wheel needs more POSITIVE offset to be the same. But also the max offset limit is lower

eg. 9J wide - offset range +26 to +60 (+60 apparently nearly rubs inner wheel well at rear)
10J wide - offset range +34 to +50 ish (less range as the wheel is wider)

Hope this helps and is just a rough guide, i found a lot of info when searching about wheels for my drag tyres .... but dunno where it is now !!!

Just re read your post there. Did YOU call me?

I have a wink answer service that appears to take messages but its been cancelled months ago.

Anyway. Still looking away here at wheels. Not going to bother this month as I`ll be driving to France so the ones on the car will do. I`m pretty sure they`re 40mm offset. I had the measuring tape out and done some calcs. Regarding the brakes. Had the car up on a ramp yesterday, I have about 2mm clearance from caliper to inside of rim. I`m definitely going to change them probably for 18s. No bigger, just dunno when.
