Post subject: | Anyone Want to Buy a 2002 5.7 Convertible |
Back in 2013 I shipped my 2002 Chevy Camaro back to the UK ready for us repatriating back to the UK from the USA. This hasn't happened so the car is sitting in car storage in the UK. They run the engine to operating temperature every month. I'm looking at re importing it back to the U.S. but before I go down that route I thought I'd ask on here if anyone is interested in buying it....or whether it's possible for me to sell it as I'm not resident in the UK. The car has not had any UK mods and is US spec, it has not been registered with the DVLA so cannot be driven on UK roads yet. It's in great condition, new tyres, new a/c compressor, only just over 30,000 miles. Lots of mods to increase engine BHP towards 500bhp. Had it de tuned back to 350hp to make it drivable!! Let me know if you're interested or even any advice you can give me on whether it's even sellable. Note this is the car in the pics I posted back in 2013. Cheers! |

One of the main reasons putting me off living there! When i was staying in Cali for a little while i managed to slice a bit of my thumb off (thanks to a very sharp cheese slicer) and long story short, 2 hours in the hospital, the cleaning of the wound, large gauze plaster (wouldn't stop bleeding for a few days after) cost in excess of $1,000. Mental. While i was waiting for the nurse to check up on me, there was a mexican lady in the bed next to me screaming in Spanish for them to not operate on her as she couldn't afford it and would end up in debt. Mental. Would love to live in the states, but medical, and other government policies (e.g spying) suck. Things aren't far off here, now that the NHS is starting to privatise

So Rick, your return to the the UK has just been delayed, rather than cancelled?I am in the process of retiring myself, and my wife is American, with all her family over there. I have considered moving stateside, but the subject of medical costs looms large in any discussion on the subject. |

It can be scarey I will admit. As I'm now retired I get most of it for free under Medicare, but I have paid into the system for nearly 20 years so it's about time I got something back
