Hi guys,

I don't know if this is a regular topic that comes up, but would anyone happen to know all of the lamp sizes for the rear lights on a 1996 Z28 and where is best to get a full set? Also, are there any LED bulb upgrades that people know of?
I would do a like-for-like match with new and old, but half of the old ones came apart in my hands and the rest seem to be packed out with something, so can't really guarantee that they are the correct sizes.
Worst case scenario I'll just get a selection and see which are best fit - I know the wattages, they just need to fit in the holes.

Cheers chaps

Chris

by lamps I think you mean bulbs holders here?, just me getting it straight as I call the who plastic unit a tail lamp or light?

Anyhow, if you mean bulb holders, then I have had experience with a 93,98 and 99 car which all had DIFFERENT bulb harnesses. Have you been able to removed the light unit, allow you to unscrew the bulbs?
I have a selection of random bulb holders, they are no longer in a full loom but could be soldered in. The problem sometimes is that these do not match your years light unit and so the bulb holders wont go in.

Yeah sorry, when I was an apprentice we used to get told off for calling them bulbs, always taught that you only plant bulbs, you illuminate lamps.

Managed to eventually find the right lamps (or bulbs - sorry, it's deeply engrained).

The lamp holders are doing the job, they just needed a major clean out, and a smidge of adhesive to hold the holders to the tail light unit.

But cheers for the reply.

haha ok, cross over of description then :D

Yeah the lamps are weird ones, some are standard and some have a flat plug in bit, but you know this now. Glad you got it all sorted
