Hi
I thought I'd drop in and introduce myself and my Camaro.

Me: I've been involved with American cars and Americana in general since 1970 and have owned numerous motors. As well as the Camaro I currently own a '72 El Camino and a '71 Mach 1.

My car: It's a '99 Z28 auto, finished in Pewter and fitted with T-Tops.
Modifications include: SLP cold air induction. Flowmaster American Thunder system. Adjustable panhard rod and greaseable lower track arms. New Diff (Eaton LSD) 3:23 and bearings etc.

It's been recalibrated using Hypertech 32002 Max Energy Programmer, and is protected by a Sigma (Thatcham Cat 1) Alarm/Immobiliser.

Here are some pics, which were taken when it was sitting on Eibach Sportline suspension with a 1½” drop. However, I got sick of clouting just about every speed hump I met, and some of the roads round my area are little better than cart tracks . Now it's riding on stock-height Moog springs which means driving is more pleasurable although my son reckons it looks like a 4x4 .............not kind. I'll hang on to the Eibach units in case I get too much stick

Hello, welcome to the forum. Very nice car, like the wheels always fancied a set of those for mine.

Car looks great. Love the colour and the tyres look like the corvette C5 ones. 18" on the back 17" on the front. I have those on mine.

Welcome.

Where abouts in the country are you?

Hi and thanks.

Although I know the wheels/tyres look different front/rear in my pics, I'm actually running 17's all round (275/40ZR17 Kumho's) :)

Trouble is, as mentioned in my first post, going back to stock height suspension has led to some crticism  . Hopefully, in time the springs will settle a bit lower

I'm from Epsom, Surrey how about you?

Hi Arizona.

Stock brakes.............at the moment, but having seen the C5 upgrade, they're defo on the list 8-)

The previous owner was my son and he 'detailed' the calipers.

He owned the car for nearly 3 years and it cost me a '79 Trans Am to prise it away from him

As you say, see you on the road  ;)

I'm only a couple of miles from Epsom racecourse.

I guess this means we're both used to being around some serious horsepower   . Yeah I know.............
