Well the tyres have been pumped up to 50psig, the battery removed and the cover put on for the next six months. It's that time of year again unfortunately.

Still I can spend the next few months planning which shows to go to next year and what trips to make, I fancy a few days around Britnney. Also what jobs to do on the car.

It was a good summer this year, car wise, done about 3000 miles, attended 8 shows, had no breakdowns and the car passed the MOT without any issues, so looking forward to next year.

Hi

Mine is staying hooked to an Optimate so that if we get another dry spell she can be out again.

Already planned a day across the channel for it in the next few weeks - to keep the wheels round and the oil circulated.

Can't imagine taking mine off the road for 6 months... Enjoy driving it too much...

Sounds like you done all the right stuff.. Someone told me once to spray the whole engine area with WD40 to protect it for a winter layup.. Just jet-wash it off come spring.

Ops, I did forget to mention it's in an insulated container for the winter. I do this every year and its fine. I give the battery a charge before I go to pick the car up and this seems to work Ok. This year when I took it out of the container I had to let air out of the tyres which surprised me.

I spend the winter in Spain and although I would love to have it over there with me it's just not practical. :( :(

One of the fruits of retirement after sweating your arse off for over 40 years   :D
