Hi all,

Ok, here we go again!!!

I'm getting a whine noise when I accelerate, disappears when I take my foot off the gas!

I usually have the stereo on so never noticed it before, very noticable at low speeds with the stereo off.
Any ideas anyone??

Kind Regards
DS

Is it a high pitch wine like something spiinning or is it the air going through the baffels before the throttle body, that sounds like a low pitch wine abit.

Any chance of posting a Vid so we can hear it.

Sorry its been a while guys, been really busy :(
Thought I'd post an update in case it helps anyone else.
Got a puncture yesterday so asked them to check the diff oil at the same time as replacing the tyre.
They did top it up and cleaned 'something' and it seems quieter now, still there but not as loud!
Thanks for the tip pufferfishman

Thanks to all.

Kind regards
DS

Mine does exactly the same. Especially 1st 2nd and it sounds like the noise you get when driving quickly in reverse. Changed the engine, gearbox and diff oil but no better. I just took it as a characteristic of the car as it drives spot on and changes gear without fuss.
I just pretend its a supercharger whine. lol. :lolno:
