Brighter Lights? I have the standard lights on my Z. Thinking of HID or something similar as present lights are a bit dismal. Any issues or thoughts on this? Plastic lenses need polishing up first but will brighter lights be an issue? Welcome thoughts |

if you read the government law about HID they are actually illega to fit (unless you are a boy racer ??) on vehicles without the correct lenses. I have looked into this as the beam pattern doesn't spread the same and you have black spots. often they look brighter but actually just dazzel yourself and others. Just clean the lamps up, and get some xenon bulbs and see how you get on, bright white look brighter but yellow is more friendly and the human eye adapts better to dark conditions |

Maundy, Good Gen my friend. I'll look at xenons when I've done the polishing job. The headlight lenses have a sort of haze over them which needs buffing off. I'll give that a go. Cheers! N.B. And no I'm no boy racer! |

Yeah you can do it with fine wet and dry then work to 2000 grit or finer and then a polish depending how bad they are, but you should find it helps I got some off ebay 55W bright white/blue tinge Xenon ones, they are much better than the stock candles ! |

Just go HID mate. You only tend to have a problem if they are too blue. You can get different intensities. |

How did this turn out Stuart? I had to polish my lenses, I used a T-Cut cream and it worked OK but I haven't changed the bulbs. Did you notice a difference? |

Gerry I haven't done the lenses yet, the stuff is in the trunk waiting for me to get keen. The new bulbs however were a fantastic success, but pricey. A set from the big H cost around £100.00, were they worth it ?? -- definitely. !!! |

WOW thats expensive for bulbs. As I don't drive mine that often at night and it's in storage all winter I think I might forget about that one. |
