still dont know what to do about mine, wrecked the tail shaft housing on gear box and really temped to swap for a manual ??????

Been there done that and got a shirt from my auto tranny. lol. Honestly if you can find the funds to do T56 swap over 4L60E, do it! I never looked back when I got mine done. If anything, you can recoup some of the money you spent on T56 by selling the auto and it's accessories. I did. What I spent, just a little over $3K I got probably 1/3 of that back from selling the old stuff.

at the moment I've found 2 possibilities which would mean me buying an LS1 with a camaro T56 box or an LS2 with a 4l65e box.

i still don't know what to do??? its a lot of money plus I need to sell the engines then cause I dont need a spare cluttering up my dads garage there is enough of my camaro bits in there already. Plus i only just bought a 3.23 axle i put in with I think will be geared too long for the manual???

saying that both people selling want bank transfers which as far as i'm aware you have no 'receipt' for the goods so i'd be screwed if they didn't send the engine and i just handed over a small fortune
