Post subject: | Renovation Project Dilemna |
Hi All I’m new to the forum and posting on behalf of my neighbour. He has a dilemma which I’m hoping you can all help him with. He owns two Camaros, a fully functioning and sorted (quick yet planted) 1986 Z28, and a renovation project in the form of a 1998 Camaro Z28 Eurospec LHD LS1 engine with autobox. He doesn’t really want to part with the project but based on the limited progress made over the last 12 months he is struggling for time or the space to continue with it due mainly to work commitments. His dilemma is, does he try and sell the project as an ongoing and complete concern or strip the engine and box and sell separately?? He’d prefer to do the first but heads tend to rule hearts. Which doy ou think would be the most attractive proposition to prospective buyers? Cheers in advance Wile |

I think I'd be inclined to try to sell it on first. He obviously has a price in his head that he'd let the car go for, but with a project you need to be realistic. If he's stuck for time & space it's the sensible thing to do. If there aren't any takers then dismantle it. cheers...Nige |

im now intrigued as to a 4th gen renovation?? what was 'wrong' with the car to need it sorting etc, where about are you guys from, im in Leeds I'd prob try sell the project, but need more info on it to be honest, a LOT of people just buy these cars and dont know too much about them so are not inclined to make a project of something. If it gets broken then there are still bits of crap etc left after the strip down, hell I have parts in my dad's garage from when I rebuilt my camaro :O |
