I recently fitted a Mcleod RST Twin plate set-up on my Camaro. I'm pretty sure they'll make this for a LT1 engined car.. I think Real Steel stock them, or get one shipped from 'Jegs' like I did..
I've had loads of issues with other clutches not handling the power, and also the abuse of proper hard driving, so can recommend this one as it outperforms the agressive kevlar item I had before, and has softer pedal feel and more progressive engagement...
