It is quite easy to recover. However the headlining must be romoved and is made of a rigid foam material that was quite fragile in my case. pull out the trim panels that cover the A pillers, the alos remove the sun visors and rear light. Its themn a case of gently taking the headlining out thru the rear hatch. Once out a slowly pulled the old headlining material off the foam backing. Yuo now ned to get some similar material to replace it. Get something that is slightly stretchy.I got mine from Dunelm fabric shop, you also need sray adhesive. Its then a case of starting at he front middle, spray the glue onto the foam and do a little at a timemake sure you apply pressure to the headlinging to ensure the material sticks. also leave about half an inch of material overhanging all sides. when compleate it is just a case od gluing the overhanging material to the back of the underside of the headlinging to ensure a neet edge. Simples!!! the secret is TAKE YOUR TIME!!! |
