Hi guys I need a cat for the MoT (old one had been angle grinded and emptied by owner before me). Are there any places over here that sell them or am I better sourcing one from the US? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Rich |

What year is car + engine? How did the previous owner get it through a MOT? |

You can get a Hi flow sports cat made by one of the custom exhaust franchises like Longlife or Powerflow that will do the job. May be cheaper than trying to source a replacement.. |

the car is a 1993 Z28 manual. I think the MoT station who passed it last time were the people who supplied it new so turned a blind eye. I will get in touch with long life this afternoon, cheers |

Could you take it back to the garage that supplied it? Cheaper than buying a CAT. Also will if definitely fail? Do they have specs on the Camaros that they have to conform to? I would take it to a local MOT centre and see what they say. I've also heard of people passing it if the vehicle has a CAT. Not necessary working! |

Hi I put it in for the MOT a couple of weeks ago and it passed on everything apart from the cat. I would take it back to the place that mot'd it last year but it is a 500 mile round trip! I think i'm going to buy a universal cat off eBay and have my local garage fit it. Thanks |

silly question time now.... as it's a grey import can you not just get it tested as a "cat's not required" jobbie? |
