I've found some second hand calipers for a front brake upgrade to my LT1 Camaro, which seems a standard upgrade.
I've also tracked down somebody in the US who does the conversion mounting bracket for a sensible price. However he is saying that it only fits for LS1 brakes, but the other people selling theirs seems to think they will do LS or LT...

I struggle at time with the US wizdom! what is a spindle ? and do I need LS1 spindles?

Ah good news. Apparently he was getting confused with brackets I wanted. No LS1 spindles required
the bad news? they cost $50 more :(

hey, i have the drop spindles and LS1 brakes in the for sale section, and open to offeres, the brakes are the twin pot calipers from an LS1 98 car, with brackets and drop spindles.

http://www.classiccamaroclubuk.com/phpB ... =15&t=1148

for the LT1 to LS1 you dont actually need the drop spindles, just the LS1 brackets and calipers, but you have to grind a lump of metal off the LT1 spindles, so a swap over is easiest. You can just put your from hubs into the LS1 spindles and then you have a full comversion

have a look and PM me if your interested

Thanks chaps.

If I'd seen your LS1 stuff for sale I might have gone for it, but comitted to the corvette route now, so I don't expect to need them. I'm happy to do a fair amount of grinding to save a few pounds!
I'm getting the parts from some bloke called Ryan Young who was advertising in the US. seemed helpful and they are on their way!
