I want to change the standard 16" wheels on my 98 V6 what wheel sizes do you recommend, I believe the bolt pattern is 5x120.65 will 120 fit? also can you recomend any good reasonably priced wheels, I,m thinking of either 17/18",
I did hear that BMW wheels will fit is that right,
thanks in advance

I have 17" inches with 275 x 40 x 75 allround on my 98 V8. These are lovely and wide and look good but the width pulls the car all over the road when in ruts and in the snow are awful. I'm sure 18"'s would look fab. Sorry have no idea about where to get good priced wheels.

I've got 19 inch very low profiles on mine, wide too. Look good but are not comfortable and don't seem too good in the snow or wet!

I have looked at Northhants tyres, they do specials on tyres and rims and stock some good stuff. I haven't bought from them though.
Check out their web site.

im running 2 pairs of rear genuine bmw M3 wheels with 255/35/18 tires. Wheels are ~200 a pair and tires 100 each

just have to check offset on some, think my rears are 20 or something so they stick out more :D, but I had to grind the rear arches to stop them scrubbing, plus my car is 1.6" lower all round

Thats interesting I,m guessing the front M3 wheels are narrower, could you fit a standard set ie front/ rear to a camaro instead of two sets of rears, as I have seen a few for sale and they do look good on!

yeah i had a standard set rear to rear, front to front but liked the wider look on the front so got some more rears and sold my fronts :)

if you get M3 wheels you have to be the 2nd known camaro with them on, im taking the 1st position haha

Corvette C5 Wheels are a good option too. I recently got a set on eBay for a great price. Mine are 18" with 275 tyres on the back and 17" with 245 tyres on the front. This stops the problem of the car tramlining all over the road which happens if you fit wider fronts.

Just search 'Corvette alloys' or 'Corvette wheels' on eBay.

Didn't realise 4th gens had a tramlining prob with wider tyres. Didn't the SS/WS6 versions have 275 wide tyres as standard ?
I think the offset of most 'modern' BMW wheels should fit a 4th gen, as the offset (backspacing) changed compared to the older 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen camaros. When using BMW rims, get some spigot rings to centre the wheels properly on the hub or you may get a wobble at speed like I used to on my old 17" 850 wheels...

if you slowly put the wheels on and cross bolt and spin you dont get wobble, or at least I havent so far. there ain't anyone i can get spiggots from, do you know where I can get them ????
