i dont know exactly where it is on the engine block in the V6. Get a quote at a garage , but it is literally undo the sensor and put the new one in, should only be 10 min job presuming the sensor is easily accesible and you can find it :D, so dont pay more than like 10-20 quid really. If it is more than that, i would by a haynes manual for the car as they are always useful to have and go step by step though everything you could possibly replace on the vehicle. There is also a trouble shooting guide in the back which my answer some of the question you have if the temp really is in the red after the sensor change.

Tested the car for the last couple of days, all OK, engine is purring like a happy kitty!!
